Welcome to Mallorca, the beautiful Mediterranean island that is the home of Glow retreats. You will be lodged in charming villas with spacious gardens and swimming pool, surrounded by mountains and green woodland. It will be a week filled with NIA, yoga, mindfulness and beautiful treks through the stunning nature of Mallorca. All activities are being led by an experienced, certified and dedicated team. Massages (for an additional fee) are also offered and you can request personal coaching if you wish.

Our motto is ‘anything goes’
You decide what activities you want to do or join. The retreat week has no obligations, whatsoever. In addition to the classes and hikes, there is more than enough space for me-time. You can laze around the pool, soak up art and culture or shop-till-you-drop in the capital city of Palma. And what about visiting beautiful beaches and idyllic villages or checking out the island with a rental car?

Are you ready for a week of me-time, relaxation and recharging in the spring? In this retreat the focus is on NIA, mindful yoga and hiking. This week offers a special and unique combination of silence (yin yoga and hiking in silence in nature) and playfulness (NIA dance).
The NIA classes take place in the garden and sometimes on the beach. Why NIA? Because we have often forgotten to 'play' out of pure pleasure in our lives full of obligations.
Personal coaching and massage treatments are also possibilities during this week.

September retreat 2023

Do you feel like a week of yoga, mindfulness and mindful hikes in the beautiful nature of Mallorca before autumn begins? This retreat offers all these possibilities. This week has a focus on rest and reflection. Rest in the form of various forms of yoga and mindfulness as well as silent hikes in nature.
The yoga classes take place in the garden and sometimes on the beach. 
Personal coaching, mindful self compassion and Chi Kung are also among the possibilities in this week. 

Personal coaching
Living in COVID times has made many of us think about what to do differently in life. If only because we don't want to go back to the 'rat-race' life of before that time. At Glow retreats there is attention and space for self reflection. For reflecting on other choices if you are at a crossroads in your life.
There are experienced coaches at your disposal to support you. You determine in the coaching what you want to reflect on. We (the coaches) know the right questions to ask you for you to achieve clarity and insight.

Program in general

Day 1

Arrival day. Your room is ready for use as of 16.00 h. If you have arrived before that time, you can temporarily store your luggage in villa Son Alegre and Villa Romani.
  • 19.30 h.: Dinner time.

Day 2 up to 6

  • 08.15 h.: Morning yoga or NIA class
  • 09.15 h.: Breakfast
  • 11.15 h.: Me-time or Mindfulness session (1 hour session on 3 days)
  • 13.00 h.: Lunch
  • 14.00-17.00 h.: Time to relax, me-time
  • 17.15-18.30 h.: Yin yoga or NIA dance workshop
  • 19.30 h: Dinner (Goodbye dinner only on Day 6)

On 2 or 3 days (depending on the wishes of the group and weather conditions) there will be hiking from approx. 14.00-18.30 hours. On Sunday we will visit the morning market in Pollensa (optional)

Departure day. After breakfast or during the course of the day.

Set up of the classes

The morning class (yoga or NIA) is a gentle yet energetic class to waken body and mind with ease.

The Mindfulness sessions offer participants space to reflect on what gets in the way of having peace of mind in their daily lives or to learn the benefits of being in the here and now with more awareness. In the retreat week with focus on Yoga and mindful hiking, Mindful Self compassion sessions will be given.

The afternoon Yin yoga workshop is focused on stress release and flexibility of the body. After a Yin yoga class, you will experience a meditative and relaxed state of being. The afternoon NIA workshops will energize your body and mind by moving barefoot to soul stirring music.

Location and accommodation

The Glow retreat villas are situated in the foothills of the beautiful Sierra de Tramuntana mountains and about 10 km from the picturesque town of Pollensa. There you will find villa Son Alegre and villa Romani. Each villa has a pleasant garden, plenty of space to lounge in and out of the sun, and a swimming pool.

In villa Romani you have access to a fully equipped kitchen, in case you’d like to cook for yourself in the evening.

All bedrooms (all double rooms) have air conditioning. In villa Romani each bedroom has its own bathroom. In villa Son Alegre there are 2 bedrooms that share a spacious bathroom. Villa Romani has wifi, and villa Son Alegre good cell-phone reception with 4G.

All together there is room for 12 guests with four double rooms for single use. The other rooms are shared double rooms with single beds. These rooms are only shared with a guest from the same gender unless you are traveling with a partner.

In the vicinity

The nearest village (Sa Pobla), where you can shop and have nice dinners in the evening, is some 3 km’s from the retreat location. For guests without a car, we will arrange transport twice during the retreat week to the supermarket in Sa Pobla.

If you prefer to go out for dinner and drinks, we can recommend the big and lovely square of Pollensa. A taxi to Pollensa will be more or less € 18,- one way.


  • Transport from and to the airport (about 45 min.) can be booked with Glow retreats. Costs for one way will be € 35,- p/person, based on a minimum of 2 passengers in our Glow bus.
  • In case you want to book a rental car, have a look on Do You Spain; they offer interesting rates. Be aware though of the cheaper companies because they tend to add on a lot of costs after you’ve made the booking.
  • In case you want to use public transport to come to the retreat, just let us know. We will send you all the required information.

Distance to:

  • Palma airport - 50 km
  • Pollensa - 10 km
  • Nearest beaches – 12 or 16 km (Cala St. Vincent or Port de Pollensa).


The retreat offers you freshly prepared food, tea, coffee, ice water and fruit during the retreat days. Every day we serve breakfast and lunch, Dinner will be served on the evening of arrival and on the last evening of the retreat. In principle we serve vegetarian and vegan cuisine. On request fish or meat will be offered. We will take other dietary requirements into account. So just let us know.

Prices 2023 per person

  • Shared double room (single beds): € 750,- 
  • Single room with a private bathroom (limited number): € 1.275,-

Included in the price

  • 7 nights and all activities: yoga, NIA, Mindfulness and Hiking.
  • Breakfast, lunch, tea, coffee, water and fruit throughout the day and 2 evening meals (day of arrival and last evening of the retreat).
  • Use of all the facilities in the villas (such as use of the kitchen, towels and swimming pool).

Not included in the price

  • Travel costs to and from Mallorca ( about € 200,- from the Netherlands)
  • Transport in Mallorca from airport to villa; € 35,- for a one-way trip with a minimum of 2 passengers in our Glow bus.
  • Travel, cancellation and health insurance.
  • Additional drinks and evening meals.
  • Any other personal expenses.
  • Massages and personal coaching.

Rates personal coaching:
- Separate personal coaching session (1 hour): € 100,-
- 'Coaching-week package deal' (3 sessions of 1 hour): € 240,-.

Conditions of participation

  • After you have informed us that you want to make a booking, you will receive the booking form separately by e-mail.
  • A booking requires a deposit of € 100,-.
  • Your booking will be final once Glow retreats has received your deposit.
  • You are only eligible to join the retreat once full payment has been received by Glow retreats.

Cancellation policy

  • All cancellations must be made by e-mail.
  • Full refunds, minus € 50,- of the deposit, will be provided for cancellations made up to 8 weeks prior to the start date of the booked retreat.
  • Full refunds, minus the € 100,- deposit, will be provided for cancellations made up to 6 weeks prior to the start date of the booked retreat.
  • A 50% refund, minus the € 100,- deposit will be provided on cancellations made between 30-42 days prior to the start of the booked retreat.
  • No refund will be provided for cancellations made between 29-0 days prior to the start of the booked retreat.
  • No refund will be provided for premature departures from the retreat or failure to arrive at the retreat for any reason. All retreat payments are due 30 days prior to start date unless otherwise specified. Clients whose balances are not received by the 30-day deadline, risk losing their retreat booking.

Vinyasa flow yoga

A dynamic form of yoga, consisting of a flow of rhythmic yoga movements. The yoga poses follow the movement of breath, while engaging the muscles. This Yang style of yoga is strengthening and lengthening the muscles and has a warming and energizing effect. Altogether, Vinyasa flow yoga increases flexibility, mental focus, cardiovascular conditioning, calorie-burn and muscle development.

Yin yoga

A quiet meditative form of yoga in which we hold poses for a longer time, while the muscles are relaxed. Yin yoga has a positive effect on your organs, immune system, muscles and joints. It stimulates the connective tissue in the body. Yin yoga improves the flow of your vital energy by working on the energetic channels in your body. All in all, Yin yoga improves your overall emotional well-being, immunity and organ health.


Mindfulness meditation is a mental practice that involves focusing your attention on your present moment experience (such as emotions, thoughts and sensations) . It can include breathing practices, mental imagery, awareness of body and mind, and muscle and body relaxation. When you practice Mindfulness on a regular basis, you will notice that your focus and concentration improve as well as your creativity and productivity. Another important benefit is that it can greatly reduce overall stress and anxiety levels.


Our bodies love to move and the Nia technique invites you to tap into the joy of movement. It combines elements of the dance arts (emotional expression), martial arts (organic precision) and healing arts (functional movement). With Nia, you get a strong, grounded, flexible, and relaxed body and mind. You learn to move fast and slow, with power and grace, precision and ease. Nia is dynamic. It ignites muscles and joints, increases your range of motion and improves breathing patterns. It stimulates the nervous system, leaving you refreshed, relaxed and energized. Nia invites a deeper connection to self which naturally results in a more loving relationship with the body.


You can expect walks through enchanting and breath taking nature. We will visit the most beautiful spots of Mallorca, from quiet beach coves to mountains sides, while overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Our philosophy is safety and pleasure. Walking in nature can lower your stress levels and increase productivity. It enhances your overall fitness and gives your muscles a good workout. It lowers blood pressure and increases happiness.
